Quick Clearance

For every minute a freeway lane is blocked during the rush hour, a 10-minute (minimum) backup will result after the incident is cleared. Proper incident management is a vital factor in the battle to combat congestion, to improve public safety, and to advance the overall quality of the commute for drivers in the Kansas City Metro. As it grows, more and more vehicles use the freeway system. Quick incident clearance is necessary to ensure better traffic flow, congestion prevention, and improved safety. Emergency Response Operators work together with other on-scene responders to make quick incident clearance happen through KC Scout's Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Program.
